Kazakhstan · paid pilot in summer 2027

Nauqan.A digital assistant for agronomists and farm managers

Nauqan helps farms keep field histories, assess sunflower conditions, check crop protection options against Kazakhstan’s pesticide register and record the results of field operations by season.

The pilot runs on Android. An iPhone version is planned for the next stage.

What farms will receive

Field history and farm profile

Collects observations and outcomes for each field. Helps account for farm experience when planning the next season.

  • Field records remain available at the next inspection.
  • Previous operation outcomes carry into the next season.

Diagnostics and continuous learning

Helps distinguish similar symptoms. Each season, the app takes more agreed cases and farm outcomes into account.

  • Clarification using photos and your comments.
  • Agreed cases and outcomes support application learning.

Crop protection and weather windows

Helps check suitable protection options and treatment conditions. The agronomist agrees on the action.

  • Check registration and application restrictions.
  • Review weather risks before agreeing on an operation.

Offline field work

The core field workflow remains available without connectivity. Weather and database updates download when connected.

  • Observations and records available without connectivity.
  • Synchronise once the internet connection returns.

Work plan and application log

Helps keep treatment records in the app. The agronomist enters and agrees the actual operation details.

  • Actual treatments recorded in one log.
  • Managers can review operation history.

One farm’s history and documentation

During the pilot, observations and completed work will be linked to each field and season. Agreed records will form the application log.

Field workflow

From observation to recorded outcome

Each case follows four stages and remains in the field history.

01

Record an observation

Select the field and crop, record the growth stage and extent of symptoms. Add photos of the plant and the wider plot.

02

Clarify the likely cause

Nauqan analyses photos and comments, considers field history and asks questions. If uncertainty remains, it reports “Insufficient data” and suggests the next verification method.

03

Agree on an action

The app shows product options, rates and restrictions, calculates quantities and assesses the weather window. The agronomist agrees the final result and operational parameters.

04

Record the outcome

Enter the actual operation details and follow-up inspection result. The case is saved in the field history.

An external specialist can join a case at the agronomist’s request.

Basis for decisions

The data behind Nauqan

The database is checked against the current register before the pilot season; urgent official restrictions are incorporated during the season.

01

Traceable sources

Kazakhstan’s pesticide register, official instructions, scientific publications, specialist organisations and confirmed practical experience. Application rules include the document, edition, review date and page.

02

On-device diagnostics

The model processes photos on the mobile device. Similar conditions require further evidence. Pilot coverage includes sunflower diseases, pests, weeds, nutrient disorders and crop damage.

03

Confidential farm information

Only anonymised cases agreed by an agronomist and followed up with an outcome are used for application learning. Farm history supports better operations and farm profile documentation.
